If you’re moving home then you should have a big spring clean and declutter this house. This will give you fewer things to pack and unpack and it means that you won’t be taking old things to your new home that you’ll never need in a million years – fresh start and all that!
If you’ve lived in your current property for a long time then you’ve probably collected up loads of stuff over the years especially if you’re a bit of a hoarder. If you don’t even know where to start here’s some tips on how to tackle your spring clean:
• Recycling your old clothes is a great way to declutter your home. You can either take your clothes to the clothes bank or just drop them off at your local charity shop.
• Go through all your paperwork and shred the ones that you no longer need.
• You should declutter your home in short bursts a few hours a day instead of setting aside a full day to it. This way you won’t burn yourself out or get sick of it so you’ll get more done in the long run.
• When you’re decluttering the house make sure you complete each task as you go because if you leave anything undone you probably won’t get round to completing it.
• Above all you should be ruthless – any doubt just get rid of it. If you haven’t used something in a year then you probably don’t need it.
• It’s also important to have fun while you’re decluttering your home – put on some music, reminisce and poke fun at all those awful purchases you’ve made.
If you follow our tips you’ll smash your spring clean!
